Error reading Word document while checking for Plagiarism and AI

I'm attempting to conduct a plagiarism check and AI detection on a ".doc" file, specifically a Word document containing 3000 words. However, I'm encountering an error message. I'm aware that there's a 6000-word limit for the document. Additionally, I've noticed that converting the document to PDF allows for the check to proceed. What could be causing this error?
